ALEKSANDRA, 25 ÅR

Hi! My name is Aleksandra, I’m 24 years old and I’m from Italy, although I also have Bulgarian roots: my mum is Bulgarian and my dad is Italian. I currently live near Milan, but I have always felt curious about the world and I would love to experience living abroad and discovering a different way of life. I studied International Relations at university, which gave me the opportunity to develop a strong interest in different cultures, languages and international environments. I have always loved travelling, meeting new people and learning about places different from my own. For me, travelling is not only about visiting new countries, but also about getting to know the people, everyday life and culture behind them. Over the past few years, I have had different work and volunteering experiences that have helped me become more independent, responsible and adaptable. I completed my Civil Service at CSBNO, a library and cultural organization, where I worked on activities related to culture, communication and digital content. After completing my Civil Service, I had the opportunity to continue my experience there through an internship, which I am currently doing. I have also had other work experiences, including working for Callipo, as well as a volunteering experience in a nursing home. Each of these experiences has taught me something different, from working with the public and communicating with people to being patient, reliable and able to adapt to different situations. When it comes to children, I want to be honest: I don't have years of professional childcare experience, but I have had several opportunities to take care of and work with children. I babysat infant twins for about a month, worked as a children's entertainer at McDonald's, and helped a middle-school student with homework and studying. I also have a younger sister who is almost eight years younger than me, so growing up I naturally had the opportunity to take care of her and be there for her. I believe these experiences have taught me to be patient, attentive and responsible, and I would be happy to learn even more through an Au Pair experience. I am also comfortable with everyday household responsibilities. I can cook, clean, do the dishes and dishwasher, use the washing machine, hang out clothes and generally take care of a home. I am even learning how to iron properly — so that is one skill I am still working on! Outside work and studying, I have many interests. I love travelling, reading books, watching films and following sports, but I also enjoy being physically active myself. I like going to the gym, walking and trying different activities. I am also very interested in the digital world and I am currently learning more about web design, website management and digital content. I enjoy experimenting with creative tools such as Photopea and I would love to develop these skills further. Looking ahead, I would like to build a lifestyle that combines work with the things I love most: travelling, discovering new places, reading, staying active and meeting people from different backgrounds. I dream of living somewhere abroad, possibly in Spain or another country near the sea, and eventually having a flexible job that I can do from my computer, allowing me to move around while continuing to grow professionally. I am particularly interested in web design, digital projects and online business, and I am also curious about the world of investments and entrepreneurship. This is one of the reasons why I see the Au Pair experience as much more than simply an opportunity to travel. I would love to become part of a family, experience everyday life in another country, improve my language skills, learn about a new culture and, at the same time, grow as a person and become even more independent. I would be very happy to find a welcoming family with whom I can share this experience, learn from each other and create a genuine connection. I may not have the most extensive Au Pair experience yet, but I am curious, responsible, adaptable and genuinely excited to learn. I hope this can be the beginning of an important new chapter in my life!
