My name is Lærke Lindeblad, I am 18 years old and i live in Odense, Denmark. I live with my dad, Tommy, who is a janitor at a private school. And my mom, Camilla, who works as a children's nurse. I grew up with my older brother, Noah, who currently lives with his girlfriend, and my twin sister, Malou, who lives in a borading school. I am a very outgoing, smiling, conscientious, responsible and happy girl, who loves to go on adventures and experience life from different cultures. I am a person that enjoys being social and creative. I love to express myself creatively. This involves reading, writing, painting, drawing, sewing and so forth. I love children and have a lot of good experience with them. I have been babysitting my younger cousins from the age of 2 to the age of 13. This means that I have a good knowledge on child care such as changing diapers, getting them ready for bed (personal hygiene, bedtime stories etc.) I love being around children, and learing how their mind work. I really enjoy reading and playing with them and making sure they are comfortable and are enjoying themselves. I was diagnosed with Type one Diabetes at the age of three. This has made my life a little different from others. I realized that this wasn't a bad thing, sure it was hard when i was younger, but it has made me an independent and strong individual. This could be beneficial for any host families that migth struggle with Diabetes as well. This is due to the help I can provide in terms of meal regulations, high and low blood sugar, but also in social settings. I can be a help to understand the child's frustrations or embarrassment, if the child feels any of these emotions towards having Diabetes. Or just be an emotional support system. This has given me a bigger understanding of individuals who feels different or left out. I can be a role model to show that it is completely normal and absolutly okay to have these types of emotions, but also try and help them through though times. And who knows mabye be a help turning the more negative into something positive. At the age of ten I was diagnosed with gluten allergy which has made social gatherings a bit more complicated. It has become easier to meal prep and so forth therefore this will not be a problem. I would absolutely love to hear from you, if you think we might be a good match. Best regards - Lærke.
