ANDERS

We are a married couple, Anders (Danish) and Amy (British) with a 3 year old daughter Edith nicknamed Bobs or Bobbie. We require our au pair to start either late 2019 or start 2020. We live in a three bedroom house on a quiet road in Leytonstone, 10 mins walk from Leyton tube station and 5 mins walk from Francis Road; a developing High Street with lots of independently run shops. The area is up and coming with many young families and professionals locating there and it’s situated close to Stratford and the many sports facilities available within the Olympic park.

We would like our au pair to feel welcome at all times in our home and we aim to form a bond with her, learning about aspects of her home culture and experience and helping her settle in to London life. Bobs is a very sociable girl and thrives when provided with lots of activity and green outdoor time so we are keen to find an au pair who enjoys these things too.

Our jobs are in central London and we will be setting off early and returning to the house by 6pm in the evening.

From Monday - Wednesday, Bobs will be at nursery, based 10mins walk away. She will start at 8.15am and finish at 4pm. On Thursdays, Bobs will attend some activities and be looked after by the au pair. Her grandmother will arrive at 4pm to look after her every second Friday. On the Fridays which her grandmother is not present, Bobs will attend forest school and be looked after by the au pair. Forest School is about 20 mins bus drive away in a small local wood.

Day to day tasks will include dropping Bobs off at the nursery Mon-Wed and collecting her around 4pm, bringing her home and playing, cooking her dinner and waiting for Amy or Anders to come home. Sometimes the au pair will be required to give Bobs a bath and put her to bed around 7 -7.30pm. During the daytime, the au pair will have a relatively free day, although light housework incl laundry, ironing, vacuuming and running a few errands will be required.

Hours will be up to 20-30hrs per week, with Saturday and Sunday as days off.

Babysitting will sometimes be required. Finally, if it is of interest, we will offer trips with us to the countryside in Hampshire to see Bobs’ grandparents on their farm.

Monthly pay is 400 GBP.
You will get pay during holiday that will be expected to be held when we are away on holiday too.
