FAMILY IN HAMBURG LOOKING FOR AU-PAIR FROM EUROPEAN NEIGHBOUR COUNTRIES (e.g. Danmark, Poland)

We are a German family living in Hamburg. Mother and father both speak German, English and French.

Mother Christiane is a medical doctor and father Holger is an engineer leading a smart metering business.
We have three boys: eldest with 7 years and twins with 3.5 years.

We are a modern family with both parents working full-time. We like to play in the garden, cooking and baking, going into the nature and meet with friends.

We look for an au-pair to start in summer 2021.

We need an au-pair to help take care of our children during the week when not in day-care/school and to do some household chores.
We live in a house with a spacious, light room and bath available for you.

Your tasks:
Usually in the morning we as parents take care that the boys get to day-care and school (even in case of COVID-19 due to infrastructure critical jobs of the parents). You will help with breakfast and getting the children ready.
You will pick up the children in the afternoon. Then you could go with them to a playground, bring them to their sports / music classes or play with them at home. Sometimes the children might also want to bring home a friend for playing together.

In the evening we will expect you to set up a small cold bread meal. It is not necessary to cook warm every evening as we all have a warm supper at work or at day care. But it will be preferred if you could cook a warm simple meal once or twice during the week.
While the children are at the day-care/school we ask you to help with the daily chores. We have a cleaning aid once a week. Therefore, your support will mainly consist of tidying up, smaller cleaning, doing laundry and some minor shopping groceries as the basics are delivered on a weekly basis.

Some evenings you will need to babysit as well if we are on business trips or will be working longer.
We expect flexibility to help with the children in case of sickness or days when the day-care is closed.
The expected work hours on a week day are around 5 hours.

As we all speak English it is not required that you speak German. However it is an advantage if you have had some basic German classes. If you like to learn more we are glad to help you.

Most weekends you will be off and can take the time to explore Hamburg or the surrounding.
Hamburg is a City where it is easy to get around either by foot or public transport. We also have a bike you can use.
