About us
Expat family from Denmark moving to Hamburg August, 2016. Our family consists of Anders (32 yrs) who is an engineer and Gitte (31 yrs) who is a medical doctor and our two great kids, Johan (5 yrs) and Karl (1 y) who both thrive very well.
We are looking for a responsible and friendly au pair who speaks English fluently or almost fluently as our oldest son will be speaking English in school. A person speaking a scandinavian language would also work.

We need someone who can help our children through the big change that moving from one country to another can be. Therefore, the main task will be to being with the children, playing with them and supporting them when they need it.

We are both fluent in English and speak German very well. We have travelled a lot all over the world and are always excited to learn about new cultures and traditions. We are overall a flexible and open minded family with a positive view on most things!

Expectations
Normal work tasks would be:
- Dropping off and picking up the kids from school and nursery.
- While the kids are in school/daycare some light housework is expected like picking up groceries or making sure that the house is tidy.
- Occasional light cooking if you'd like.
- Playing with the children in afternoons, teaching them language, taking them for walks and just being with them.

You'll be welcomed as a family member, and can participate in family activities to the extent that you'd like. We have two cars and you can use one whenever its available to explore the surroundings etc. We'll make sure to align expectations between us and you before the start of the stay.

You must be responsible and reliable and a non-smoker. Above all, the most important thing is that you love children, as the vast majority of your time in our house will be spent with the kids.
