Hello, I am Ketty, I'm a mother, my family is formed by my children Olaf and Astrid and my husband Nicola. We are looking for an au pair for cultural exchange (exchange of experiences on literature, traditions, cooking, art, music, architecture...), NOT a nanny or baby sitter. Period: July or August.
We live in the countryside (4 kilometers from the Adriatic Sea), between Venezia and Ravenna. http://www.ferraraterraeacqua.it/en?set_language=en
My children are lively and funny.
In July, every day children go to kindergarden and come back for lunchtime.
Then the children are a nap and at about 4 in the afternoon go to the beach which is nearby, or playing in the garden.
In august the children are in vacation, so they are at home all the time.
Then about 7.30 pm we have dinner and then do a little 'activities with children and around 9.30/ 10 pm we go to bed.
We have a piano and we would love our children to learn to play it. Nicola often listens to romagnola folk music on radio Sorrriso (www.sorrriso.it) (it remembers polka and Viennese walzer) but the one we love both is mostly lyrical music. We went to see "Turandot" at the Arena of Verona.
Just as Olaf and Astrid will be a little bigger, we will bring them with us to see the opera.
The au pair has to speak english or danish or norsk with me (the mum) and the children.
We love Scandinavian countries, their landscapes, but above all the high degree of civilization that their peoples have reached and its culture.
In fact we called our children Olaf and Astrid. The most beautiful thing would be to have a person from Norway with us: I would like to practice the Norwegian language, I am a self-taught student.
In our house there is a single room for au-pair.
In week end we will going to art cities to visit museum and so. I would advise the au pair to take a good suncream: protection factor 50.
Do not worry about the facilities, I'll come pick you up at the airport in Venice and to bring you to our house.
