Our families’ heart and center of gravity are our boys Leopold (13 years) Maximilian (12 years) and Richard ( 7 years) Leopold and Maximilian are going to Grammar school while Richard is in elementary school. Leopold is very easy to have, outgoing, pleasant but sometimes a bit sloppy, whereas Maximilian is much more serious and introverted. Both of them love Sports (swimming, tennis, skiing, running) and are definitely no couch potatoes. They learned English starting from a very young age and one of the reasons we are looking for you is to have a native speaker around them to develop her language skills just en passant further. Richard is a typical 7 years old, charming, sweet but strong headed, as he has to cope with two elder brothers.

I work up to three days a week as an medical doctor in a near by hospital while my husband is working fulltime HR Manager in an publishing company.

About us

We live in a suburb of Munich, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany and Europe. With a very urban lifestyle; very close to the Alps, to a lot of beautiful lakes and to Italy. The city is connected with all European metropolises via train (e.g. Paris and Florence) or via airplane.

Our house is a one family house located in a good upper middle class periphery area of Munich– quiet and safe. The house has two floors – ground floor with kitchen and living rooms, first floor with the rooms for the children and us and the Basement with Office/Guestroom and your room with a bathroom. Also in the basement are a material room and space for the washing equipment.
We have a small garden incl. a nice terrace to enjoy the sun.
The room for the Au Pair includes 16 qm and has two windows.

The area we live in is an suburb just 3 km outside of Munich and very good connected with the city center (25 Minutes by bus or S-Bahn) or any other district. You can reach the Center of the village with a lot of grocery stores as well as the S-Bahn station within a 15 minutes walk. We will provide you with a bike and a monthly ticket to use the public transport system. Munich has a very good public transport system that connects even the suburbs. You can easily go by regional trains to the Alps or the lake area.
The elder boys are going to school (Gymnasium) Monday until 05:20 pm from Monday till Friday , Richard is 3 days a week in a after-school care centre until around 4.30 p.m.. The big boys go to school and come home by themselves. We would like you to pick up Richard around 4 p.m. and to be at home with him when the two other boys are coming home, so you can spend the late afternoon with the boys on 3 days a week until I come home from the job in the clinic.

So you might control the homework from Maximilian and Richard or you just supervise them during playing in the garden or in the neighborhood. You might also read with them some books. It is important to us, that you not only watch them but do something with them, so they will learn something new. The only real limitation we have here is that they are NOT aloud to watch TV during the day or play games on the computer.

I work up to three days a week and come home around 5:30 p.m. so we will have dinner together with the kids, while my husband will come home from office between 7 to 8 p.m. It will be your task to help with the dinner or prepare it already until I come home and you would have to see that he boys brush their teeth etc. and change into pyjamas. Than we parents would be happy to take care of our kids as well as in the mornings where we will have a quick breakfast. Three days a week it would be your duty to send the older boys to school and bring Richard to school. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that you can ride a bike. Some evenings – not that often, maybe once a week – we would like to go out and would ask you to stay at home to be there for them.
On Saturdays after a relaxed breakfast – well, I have to admit we are early birds – we all are quite busy to organize the things we didn’t get in line during the week. So it would be great if you take care of the kids doing some nice activities with them. We will take over mostly at the afternoon. On Sundays you would normally have your free day. If you like you are very welcome to join us going hiking or sightseeing or whatever is on our schedule.

What we espect

Besides taking care of the boys I would be pleased to get some support in our household. We have a cleaning lady twice a week so there is only the light stuff to do. Ironing, preparing sometimes the meal and especially I would like to ask you to be very good organized yourself.
We will provide you with a bike and a monthly ticket to use the public transport system. You can use our internet and we would use one of our mobile phones.
