Dear Au Pair, We hope to welcome you in our household soon. We are a family of five and a dog, living in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are urgently looking for an experienced domestic helper preferably one who already lives in Denmark and wants to be part of our family to take charge of our household and help with the children and cooking 5 days a week, approx. 30 hrs weekly. We live in Copenhagen, in the center of the city and are surrounded by beautiful parks and close distance to shopping and public transportation. We offer own room, own bathroom, own kitchen, own house entrance, bike, cell phone, TV and free internet, meals and lodging of course. We live in a big house, where we expect in return that you are a very good housekeeper, great at cooking, cleaning, ironing etc., and good with younger children and a dog. You will have paid vacation per year, and we will offer you one visit home during your stay here. We expect you to stay for 2 years, which is the maximum amount of time you are allowed to stay in Denmark as an au pair. If you are a current aupair who wants to change family, we fully accept to you can only stay the time you have left to stay in Denmark. We are Mom and Dad, both full-time professionals working in Copenhagen, and our 3 boys, 1, 4 and 8 years old and our dog, Fenris. They are very happy, outgoing, physical boys who love to talk, climb on things, play games and have fun. Our dog is a big dog, which is very sweet and used to stay around the house with our current aupair. We expect you to walk with him in the park next door once/twice a day. Sometimes, we will ask you to take care of him if we are going away on smaller trips without him. You will work approx. 30 hours per week (5-6 days per week). We live in a big house, where we expect you to be a very good housekeeper, great at cooking, cleaning, ironing etc., and good with younger children and a dog. Many of the household tasks can be planned individually while we are at work, as long as they are done well. In the mornings you will assist with breakfast and help us get ready for school and daycare. We expect you to cook dinner on every weekday and to be good at cooking. Finally, we expect you to walk with the dog in the park next door once/twice a day. Sometimes, we will ask you to take care of him if we are going away on smaller trips without him. The boys are in school and daycare from 8 am to 4 pm every weekday, Mom and/or Dad drops them off and picks them up. We will occasionally ask you to assist us with this task. In the afternoons on weekdays, the boys and Mom like to play or watch movies while you cook - Dad usually comes home around dinner time, but he also travels a lot. When Dad travels, we expect you to help out putting the boys to sleep at night and help picking up the children. During weekends, you'll mostly have the entire weekend off, but sometimes we will ask you to babysit during the week days and weekends if we are going out and assist with birthdays parties etc. We expect you to be able to present positive references and it is very important for us that you are a good housekeeper, a good and meticulous cleaner who never misses a spot and who takes own initiative when something needs to be done. You will have paid vacation per year, and we will offer you one visit home during your stay here. All in all, we are a "normal" Danish family, energetic and positive-minded, who need the extra hands to make our daily lives easier. Are you the one we are looking for?
