Hello! We’re a British family living in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. As you can see from our photos, our ethnicity is Chinese, but both my husband and I are born and raised in UK, so we’re mostly a western family and speak English at home. We have 2 children: Isabella aged 11 and Isaac aged 10. As a family we value being kind and considerate towards each other. What are we looking for? We’re looking for someone to keep our house clean and tidy. We would like to spend more time together as a family rather than being busy with house chores, hopefully you can help. Your primary tasks will be helping with the household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, tidying up and making sure that our cupboards, shelves remain organised. You will also be expected to get groceries. I like to cook and bake however, you will also be expected to prepare/assist in making breakfast, as well as kid's snack box for school and dinner as well as cleaning up afterwards. We would also like you to help with picking up the children from school and sometimes taking them to after school activities. The requires learning how to ride a cargo bike - so being able to ride a bicycle is important. Most of your time will be spent with the household tasks. Who are you? We will spend a lot of time together, so it’s important that we’re a match in personality as well as skills. If the below describe you, then we would love to hear from you: * You are a kind and considerate person * You are diligent in your work - e.g. if your task is to do the laundry, you’ll check, without someone asking, that the clothes pockets are empty before washing them. * You take initiatives - e.g. with the overall goal of keeping the house clean and tidy, you will look (or ask) for things to do rather than only doing something when we ask you to. Your time with us You will work 30 hours per week over 5 1/2 days. The rest of the time you will be free. You will have a comfortable, private room with fast internet. During your time off, you can relax in your room, there is no pressure to socialise with us since we also like our private time. Alternatively you can go visit the many nice places in Copenhagen. We are close to the metro, but we can also provide you with a bike, since Copenhagen is mostly a biking city. There’s an option to going to Danish classes if you would like to do this. We will pay for this as part of your Au Pair experience.
