Experienced Au Pair / Domestic Helper wanted – Denmark 🇩🇰 We are a family of four living in the beautiful countryside north of Copenhagen, looking for an experienced, responsible and independent Au Pair / Domestic Helper to help with the daily running of our home. We are looking for someone who is practical, efficient and organised – a person who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative and can work independently. We would ideally like to find someone who can stay with us for 2 years, so this is particularly suitable for someone looking for a stable, longer-term position. The role: Your main responsibilities will be: • Cleaning and keeping the house tidy and organised • Laundry and changing bed linen • Preparing healthy family meals • Preparing lunch boxes for the children on school days • Keeping the kitchen clean and organised • General household organisation and practical tasks • Helping with our animals when needed • Occasional help with our children, for example in the evening Good cleaning and cooking skills are essential. We are specifically looking for someone who already has experience with both and is comfortable taking responsibility for these tasks independently. A structured but independent role We have a clear weekly schedule for the main household tasks, so you will know what is expected and when. Within this structure, we expect you to organise your work independently, manage your time efficiently and notice the smaller things that need attention without always being told. In short: we provide the structure – you take responsibility for getting things done. Who we are looking for: You might currently be an au pair, domestic helper or housekeeper, or have experience from a similar position. Most importantly, you: • Have solid previous experience with cleaning/housekeeping • Have good experience with cooking and can prepare family meals independently • Are organised, responsible and efficient • Take initiative and notice what needs to be done • Can follow a schedule while managing your work independently • Speak and understand English well • Are comfortable around children and animals • Have preferably lived away from your family/home country before • Are interested in staying long-term – ideally up to 2 years It is a big advantage if you are already living in Europe/EU. Previous experience as an au pair, domestic helper or housekeeper is a strong advantage. A driver's licence is a plus, but not essential. Our family & home We are a family of four with two school-age children, living in a large house in the countryside north of Copenhagen. We have horses, one dog, cats and hens, so you need to be comfortable around animals and enjoy countryside life. We live next to a beautiful forest and close to beaches and smaller towns. Copenhagen is approximately one hour away by public transport. Your accommodation You will have your own room in a separate annex/small house next to our home, with access to your own kitchen, toilet and shower. You will have your own privacy and free time, and we encourage you to build your own social network, make friends and explore Denmark. Interested?
