NATALIA

We are a family of four, me, the mother, my two kids, Camilla 3 and Constantin 7 and our Bernese mountain dog Molly. We are Austrians but my mother was Danish and I have a big family and strong connections to Denmark (we all have the Danish citizenship). I also was born and spent part of my childhood in Spain which is why I speak Spanish with my kids, so they grow up bilingual. We are a happy, joyful foursome, loving to play outside and have friends around.
We live in the countryside in a house with a big garden beside the forest, 30 min outside of Vienna. My kids go to school and kindergarten, I work for WWF, mainly from home. When my kids come home from school we play, see other people or I take them to their afternoon activities.
Your main assignment would be to teach my kids Danish. I speak Danish fluently but have decided to talk Spanish to my kids. Since the Danish part of me is very important for me and I have a big family in Denmark, I would like them to learn Danish too. I want them to grasp and understand the Danish culture - after all they are one quarter Danes!
You would spend 5-6 hours per day with the kids, playing with them, taking them to the swimming pool etc., all this talking to them in Danish.In August we are still on holidays. From September onwards, schools starts and the kids come home around 12/13:00, so it will be more structured.
Weekends are free so you can discover Vienna and meet some other Au Pairs (my sister has a Mexican Au Pair who is very well connected and knows a lot of people, she can take you around).
