To our Prospective Au pair,

First let me say “Thank you” for considering us to host you.

We really appreciate the extra set of hands in our home, we want you to be a part of our family while you stay with us.

Our family is the five of us.

About us

Mum – I am Emma. I previously worked in the family court advocating for children in care. I stopped working when we had our first child “Ava” who is now nearly three. I now own and run an Equestrian School, five minutes from our home set on 2000 acres.
I enjoy horse riding, reading, watching movies and spending time with the kids. I am a very easy-going person.

Dad – Jordan. Jordan works in IT Security, he works Monday – Friday 8am till 5pm. Jordan travels occasionally with work but is usually home. He enjoys movies, computers, kayaking and walking the dogs. Jordan is very quiet and easy going also.

Ava – Ava is nearly three years old. Ava goes to day-care Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Ava enjoys going to the park, reading, colouring, riding, dancing and watching wiggles. Ava loves people.

Lucas – AKA “The Gnome’. Lucas also known as Gnome (because he looked like a garden gnome when he was born) is One year old. He also goes to day-care Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Lucas loves colouring, blocks and the park. Lucas loves people and sleep.

Alex – Alex is thirteen. Alex is very self-sufficient. Alex loves soccer, reading and Xbox. Alex doesn’t require care but loves people around.

Activities
In our free time we like to go to the coast, horse ride and swim .
Holidays
In August we go to the snow, which you would come if you wanted to join for a holiday.
In October, November and December we go to our coast house for short breaks, this is on the beach we would love you to join or use the place for a break.
In November we go to Melbourne, if you would like to join you are welcome.
In December/January we go to the gold coast for a family vacation, we would love you to come for a holiday.

Daily Routine
Monday – Day Off
Tuesday – Mind children from 2pm till 6pm. Feed the children dinner, read and give them baths.
Wednesday – Day Off
Thursday - Mind children from 2pm till 6pm. Feed the children dinner, read and give them baths.
Friday -Day Off.
Saturday - Mind children from 9pm till 2pm. Feed the children breakfast, lunch, dinner, take to park, read and give them baths.
Sunday – Day Off

Extra
– I ask if you are home you help with night baths and stories except Sunday and Mondays.
- Tidy up
- Read with kids
- Help with dinner (I prepare most meals before I go to work)
- Join family movie night and dinner night

For Extra Pocket Money if you choose on top of pocket money; (rates you are paid are $20.00ph negotiable)
- Vacuum and mop
- Clean
- Garden
- Help on farm
- Other child care jobs are in the street also.

To us you become family. We have no set routines and are very easy to work for and with, there is also someone usually home to help you also.

Your Accommodation
You will have your own separate room, lounge room, bathroom, fridge and study. The rooms are downstairs and away from the children.
You have unlimited Wi-Fi, Netflix and tv in your loungeroom and bedroom.
You are able to use the kayak to go down the river (we live on the river). I am happy to teach you to ride horses. There is a push bike, car and public transport on the corner.
You are also welcome to join the family upstairs to have dinner, watch tv, talk, read and just sit, it is your home also while you’re here.

We are a very easy going family who just requires some help in the mornings 7am until 8am with getting children ready and occasional help at night.
Some light cleaning and walking the dog.
We have horses also.
We live ten minutes from the city and right on the water.
You would be free to work elsewhere and also have time off to travel.
