ANN, 29 YEARS

Dear Host Family, My name is Ann. I'm 26 years old. I graduated in International Business from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Currently, I'm a Sales Coordinator at a Japanese company. I have been working here for almost 4 years now. So, I think it's a good time for me to take a gap year to develop myself in every aspect. Like cross-cultural communication skills, ability to adapt, problem solving, and planning, managing. And being an au pair in abroad, I will have an incredible opportunity to do many things besides being an au pair. And to become the global talent that will suit my career path. I want to have an experience I never had in Thailand before. like to surround myself with a new environment, study abroad for the first time, leaning new language, spend time with my host family, and enjoy cultural exchange with them. I have 2 mainly childcare experience. Firstly I have been taking care of my baby cousin since she was little, Now she's almost 6 years old. I help her mom occasionally taking care of her such as prepare her meal or milk, take a shower, take her to nap or bed, play with her, teach her to tidy up her toys, teaching her stuff. she's a smart girl and fast leaner. She likes cuddling, singing, dancing, we like drawing together. Now she doesn’t go to school because of Covid situation and they don't have online class there, So I also keep her practicing on lessons to get ready for her 1st grade. Second I was a volunteer as Teacher assistant at Babies genius school on weekend. From January 2020 - July 2020. We teach kid in English, I work with foreigner teacher. My responsible are to teaching and taking care of kids age from 6 months old to 4 years old. I create games and activities for them, preparing daily activities, prepare snacks in the break time, playing with them in the play time, Tidy up after finished class, make sure they’re not in danger, the class has so many activities and lessons. For example Kiddie Bright class or class for 3-4 years old we teach basic match, vocabulary, exercise, play education games, sometime we do experiment like the toys or stuff can float or sink. Baby bright class or class for 1.1 - 2.9 years old we teach letters, numbers, fruits and vegetables, drawing, crafting and many more. In the 6 months old class, I also teach the babies how to crawl if they couldn't do it yet or improve muscle for kids from the playground. Every class we try to make it a fun class. We sing songs, create educational activities that make them happy to learn and interested. In my free time if there a outside activity I like to go to a park or a mall chilling with my friends talking about anything, life, politics, exchange our experience, movies , songs. Literally anything. I also like to travelling to nature places like waterfall, mountain I like to surround myself with nature. I like gardening so much. I used to be a member of agricultural club when I was middle school for three years. and I like to help my dad grow and take care our plants. I have more then 10 plants in my small apartment. I like to reading books too especially about travelling experience from writer. I like watching movie. I like listening to music or podcast while I'm on the way to work or while I cleaning my place. lately I interested in film photography. I bought a second hand one and I still learning for the different of films. I like to cooking. I cook for myself every week. I enjoy watching cooking videos as well.
