KUNYAPORN, 29 YEARS

Dear Host family, Hej! Hello! Sawaddee ka! My name is Kunyaporn but shortly known by my nickname “Gett”, a 26-year-old girl from Bangkok, Thailand. I’m very positive, creative and down-to-earth. Kindness and happiness are one of the main personally that shaped my character, and I’m passionately wanted to be YOUR Au Pair because I adore family life, enjoying activities with kids, and I really want to learn about your culture. Being an Au Pair would really make my time abroad comforting, and I’m really looking forward to getting to know you. Though I’ve lived in Bangkok for many years, I’m originally from Nakhon Ratchasima (also known as “Khorat”) province, a big northeastern province with great city life yet a big agricultural area. When I was young, I was raised by my grandparents in a cassava farm with some chickens. Together with 6 other cousins, we were sure really joyful kids who had the whole untouched nature by our backyard. I moved to Bangkok by the age of 9 to live with my family (Mom, dad, and my older brother). My dad is a Japanese-Bonsai craftsman. His love for nature also passing on to me. My mom is a wonderful housewife, and my brother is a programmer. I’m so proud of my lovely family and they always supported me. I have bachelor’s degree for in Interdisciplinary Studies, in Greater Mekong Sub-Regions major from Thammasat University. After graduation, I had a 1-year Chinese language study program at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan. Now I’m currently working at China-ASEAN studies center, where we collect data and make research to benefit importer/exporter and farmers. While I’m lack of paid experience with children, I have had lots of chances to help babysit. My aunt is a preschool teacher, who I help taking care of the children during my semester breaks. I also help my aunt looking after a child with special needs to support the struggle to walk and speak. And currently during the Bangkok lockdown, I also help babysitting the children of those who work for my dad as well. Time spending with children, always put smile on my face and keep me so lively. Even I could be shy around new people, I always find it so easy to connect with children. I like to help other people when I can, and that also makes me very responsible to duties. During my free time, I like to read novels, cooking Thai food, traveling to new places and relaxing with some good music. But a lot about me for now! I hope you can see me as part of your family.
