NUSSABA, 25 YEARS

Dear my future host family, First let me introduce myself, my name is Nussaba Nuanthong, or you can easily call me “Nan”. I’m a Thai girl, 23 year-old, and just fresh graduated, who are kid and pet lover, like cooking and baking as hobbies, also love travelling, outdoor activities, music, as well as finding new activities and learning new experiences. Now I live with my family in Nakhonratchasima, the Northeast part of Thailand. My family have 4 members, my dad, my mom, my older sister. We love sharing our time but in different activities. I like gardening with my dad. We grow some vegetables for our family. I regularly help my mom to cook and do housework, and we usually go to supermarket together. My sister and I love shopping and always shared our foods. However, there’s one favorite activity that everyone love, it is playing with our dogs. We have 2 dogs who are good friends and parts of our family. One is Shih Tzu named Mee-Tang, and another is Poodle named Nam-sai. They both really love eating chicken jerky and going for a ride. So, I usually drive around with them every evening. I graduated a Bachelor degree of Arts in Business English from Khon Kaen University, Thailand. When I was the university student, I and my friends used to do the charity project with the children who has cleft lip and cleft palate. We did the activity to solicit for donation, brought some food and appliances to help the foundation. Moreover, we also went to the foundation to joined the activities and took care of the children. I feed them, taught their homework, and played with them. Recently, I used to work as a English teacher in the primary school which made me getting along well with children. My main tasks is teaching English, and being a homeroom teacher for grade 2 students (7-8 years old), also sometimes being a committee when they fight. There’re lovely 26 children in my class. I took care of them since they entered the school until they went back home everyday. I spent time with them almost full day. I taught, played, ate, and joined activities together with my children. I took care when they got sick or had an accident, I helped them to dress or clean theirselves, and sometimes dropped them home. The kids are so kind and lovely, they often shared their things to me and asked me to joined their activities. It was a great time and make me feel comfortable when they’re around. That’s why I would be happy to work with children. I was a teacher to teach the children, but sometimes they also teach me. They might not know, but they did. Working with children make me become more kind, patient, gentle and friendly. In addition, I’m an open minded girl and fast learner. In my free time, I usually find new bakery recipes on Youtube and try to do it. Sometimes I watch series to practice my English skill. Moreover, I’m a good teamwork and I’m looking forward to be one of you family team. Being an Au pair is the best choice that I can gain new wonderful experiences and learn new knowledge which some might cannot find in my hometown. I can work with the kid, make new friendships, go to travel, as well as improve and practice my skills. Also, living aboard is new thing that challenges me and I’ll surely do my best if I have an opportunity.
