PLOYMUKDA, 26 YEARS

I’m Ploy, I am 23 years old. I am Thai from Mukdahan of Thailand. I’m currently living in Thailand. I’d like to join this AU pair program because I want to do what makes me happy and joyfully. I love to be around children and enjoy taking care of children and I think this is a big chance for me to get new experiences and develop my life’s skills as well. Moreover, I can exchange the culture and spend time with kids so that would be great to me. My child care experience My experiences in caring for children are when I was an intern teacher, I taught English subject to students grade 8 for a year at Striwatrakang school, Bangkok, Thailand. Actually I observed and taught students for 15 days per each year in the school when I was in third year and fourth year. That was my first time teaching students in school. I was so excited and nervous, I met a lot of different types of children, however I tried my best as much as I could to handle some problems that I met. I also planned the lesson, created the activities to suit the lessons, supervised students about activities and behavior after class. I met a lot of different types of children so I had to use the basic child psychology principles I learned to manage my children. Students grade 8 (13-14 years old) - taught English - Planned the lesson - Created activities to suit the lessons - Supervised activities and behavior A boy (9 years old) - Taught English, Thai and Mathematics - Cooked, molded clay and cycled after class - Took care of him if his parents were working A little girl (2 years old) - played with her, prepared meals for her and fed her, bathed her, got her dressed, and supported the parents with light household chores A little boy (1.5 years old) - played with him, prepared some milk and food, took him a nap in the afternoon and bathed him Children under my care are of different ages so I had to use different methods to take care of them.
