JIRAWAN, 28 YEARS

The reason why I would like to be an au pair is I really enjoy being with children and I love to take care of them. When I saw they laugh, happy, fun that are all my happiness. Moreover, I need to learn new culture and meet new friends. Besides, I expect to improve my English skills and other languages. Therefore, I think au pair program can help me.

My name is Jirawan Buasri or you can call me Jib. I live with my family in south of Thailand, which is a small and beautiful city and surrounded by the sea called Phuket. There are 5 people in my family which are my grandmother, my dad, my mom, my younger brother and me. I always spend my free time with my family. My father is a driver. My mother is a housewife. My younger brother is studying in school. When we are together, we usually go shopping, watch movies and dine out. My duties in the house are washing dish, taking care of my younger brother, cleaning the bathroom and washing cloth. Sometimes, I help my father cooking and doing housework for my mother

My characteristics are talkative, generous, patient, friendly, cheerful, easy going, gentle, honest, and flexible. Also, I usually try to learn new things. My favorite hobbies are swimming, exercise, singing along songs, surfing internet, watching movies, cooking, traveling and gardening.

I have childcare experience at nursery (learning through play group) about 200 hours. There are 14 children. Their ages are about 1.8 to 3 years old. I was a helper for teachers to take care of them. There were many responsibilities that I took, for example, I helped kids to dress up after they came back from toilet. I helped them to make a bed. I helped to feed some of children if they don’t want to have lunch. I gave the box of milk to children. I picked-up and sent away children. Moreover, I played, sang, drew and told stories with them. In addition, I have childcare experience from my younger brother. I took care him while he was about 1.5 to 6 years old (now my brother is 11 years old.). My responsibilities were to feed him milk bottle, shower, change diapers, cook, playing with him, and teach him writing and talking. Now, I am collecting the childcare experience from an acquaintance. I take care of him 5-6 hours a day which schedule for take care of him is flexible in weekly. During the day, we get indoor activities such as reading and playing. I gave the milk bottle to him and took him to the bed. We go outside activities such as walking, riding bicycle, going to the beach and playing football.
