LOOKING FOR A FAMILY
My name is Lara and I'm Spanish, but I'm currently living in England. I've traveled recently to Denmark and I fell in love with the city and the people I met on my way, so I would like to try and learn more about the nordic countries and their culture. And being an au pair seems like the best way of doing it as you get the chance to live the day to day of a family.
My main reason to be living in England is to work in a hospital. I've been involved in healthcare since I was seventeen and started my studies, and on my way I've been working taking care of people with learning and physical disabilities, the elderly or people acutely ill as part of my actual role as a nursing assistant in the Emergencies department at my local hospital.
It sounds exciting and it is, is a really demanding job which I enjoy a lot, but I think on my twenty-something it's a great time to have a career break and explore before keep pursuing my nursing adventure, as I plant to go through my training to become a registered nurse in the future.
Sadly, I never got the chance to work with children so this would be my first job as an au pair, but I have two siblings who are turning 5 years this summer and when my mom needed to go back to work it was me who took care of them. I spent more than one year running up and down with wet towels in all my pockets and at least a couple of pacifiers in my backpack and keeping with my studies, until my father got back from his job abroad. It was a busy time, but I truly miss having children around and all the fun it is.
I might lack professional experience with children, but I'm a fast learner and really hard working person who always try to giver her best. I might look a bit shy in the beginning, but I'm a talkative and easy going person and I love to meet new people and learn new things on my way. I would also love to have the oportunity to join a language school as I like languages and would love be able to speak one more.
Get in contact with me if you have any question or are interested in me as your new au pair.
Kind regards,
Lara Garcia.
