KHALIESAH, 31 YEARS

Dear family,

My name is Nur Khaliesah. You can address me as Lisa for short. I am 25 years old. I live in a city-state called Singapore where it is summer all year long. I work in a private medical laboratory as a Medical Technologist for the past five years.

I am looking to explore new things in life and come out of my comfort zone. I am interested to learn about my future host family, their country and culture and hope to attend a language class.

I come from a family of 6: My parents, three younger brothers and I. My mother works with the local post office while my father is a technician who also runs his own business. My younger brother is working in the retail industry and the other two brothers, who are twins, are still studying.

I have travelled to a few countries for the past years and was instantly drawn to the Nordic region. I have visited Iceland and Norway and planning to visit Finland soon. Coming from a diverse background and country, I have always interested in the different cultures each country has to offer and would very much like to learn a new language or two.

When it comes to childcare, I do not have formal experiences but I have taken care of(still do sometimes)my younger cousins since birth. Whenever their parents are busy, they would send their children over to my family house and I would take turns with my mother to take care of them and bring them to the park to play. They are so energetic and sometimes I find myself playing along with them. I can comfortably say that I enjoy being with children and interacting with them.

As for leisure, I love being outdoors once in while, meeting friends, exploring new cafes, reading new book, and learning new language(i have recently started learning Norsk and a lil bit of Icelandic). I pretty much enjoy the simple things in life.
