ROXANA, 27 YEARS

Hi there, lovely families! My name is Roxana, I live in London and I am a second year student at Queen Mary University of London. I am studying French studies, therefore I decided to spend the second semester of my second year in Paris at ULIP( University London in Paris) to improve my French and get to finally feel how it is to live in of the most beautiful cities in the world( in my view).

I had the amazing opportunity to move to London to study and work. Being very fond of children I decided to offer babysitting for various families.For one of them, I was a full time nanny from August 2016 to August 2017. They have 2 kids- one aged 5 and another one aged 8. I used to pick them up from school, cook light meals for them, help them with the bath, take them to play dates or extra curricular activities, do light house keeping, put them to bed etc. Occasionally I would stay over the night when the parents were away and helped them get ready for school in the morning. I absolutely loved the family and we still keep in touch. The second family I worked for was a family with 3 children - aged 2,4 and 5. It was just occasional babysitting when their nanny was away. I used to take them to the park/soft play, feed them, provide fun activities for them and take them home. I can say it was a fun year since I managed to easily be serious about my studies and work in a pleasant and safe environment for me and the kids. Before becoming a full-time nanny, I used to offer tutoring in various subjects. I have a passion for languages, being fluent in English and Romanian and I am currently learning French, Spanish and Turkish. I was also involved in many projects like volunteering and teaching. For the first part of my second year of university( September- January) I will still be in London studying and doing what I like most- working with children! I will be moving to Paris at the beginning of January and probably stay there throughout the summer.
