LOOKING FOR A FAMILY FOR 2021!
My name is Maria and I'm 23 years old. In 2019 I've spend one year in Germany working as an au pair and I had a wonderful experience. Now I would love to spend one or two more years living this dream of living abroad and working with something I love: kids!
Here's a little bit of my background: I graduated from university in December 2018 but I wasn't very happy with my major and therefore wasn't ready to start a career in that area. Previously, during my middle school (2012 to 2015) years I've worked as a nanny for a family with 2 children (Caique, a boy from age 2 to age 5; and Mariana, a girl from age 1 to age 4) and I loved doing that. Besides that, my dream had always been to travel abroad and explore the world and new cultures, ever since I was a child. So during my last year of university I found out about the au pair program, where I could not only live somewhere else in the world but also work with children, which I loved. So I started the proccess to be an au pair and in 1st of February 2019 I arrived in Germany. I've stayed there until 28 of January 2020 and worked taking care of one little baby boy (he was 8 months old when I arrived and 20 months old when I left) who became the love of my life. It was an amazing experience that I had, and by watching this little human grow and learn everything from zero while I was part of his life made me love him way more than I ever thought it would be possible. Even now I miss him everyday and still keep in touch with my host family so I can see him every now and then via video calls.
After my au pair contract expired I came back to Brazil so I could see my family that I missed a lot and spend some time here to decide for sure what to do next. As soon as I arrived though, this whole COVID-19 thing started becoming bigger and bigger and I've been basically quarantined ever since I came back. But now that I had a looot of free time to think I decided that what I really want to do for now is keep being an au pair for a little longer. And I'd love to do that in another country of Europe (but still not so far from Germany so I can visit my previous host family and friend at least once or twice during this year haha). My main choice is going to Denmark. I love what I hear about the country and the language is also a plus. I've learned a little bit of Norwegian a couple of years ago so I don't think it would be so hard to pick it up and learn danish having that base.
If you have any questions or think we can be a good match, please don't hesitate in contact me! I'd love to meet you and your lovely family!
