AU PAIR FROM THE PHILIPPINES
My name is Janice. I'm 23 years old. I'm from the Philippines. I speak Tagalog/Filipino (native language), English (Upper-Intermediate to Advance level), Korean (speak, read, write, I know about 400+ words), Spanish (I'm learning it, but still in Basic level), French (I used to have a French subject in College, it would be easy for me to study it again). If required, I'm ready to learn another language.
I grew up in a HUGE family. I have 15 siblings and 21 nieces and nephews. This might be unbelievable to some, but from where I am, this is not really uncommon. I can provide picture proofs if you want. We are an extended family, and we live in a compound. Only a few of my siblings and their kids live separately from us.
I've been taking care of most of my nieces and nephews since high school. I played with them, fed them, bathed them, put them to sleep, washed their clothes. I even taught them on some school subjects, like English, Math, and sometimes Science. Currently I'm teaching my 3 years old nephew some pre-school lessons (counting, ABCs, colors, lines, shapes, body parts, etc.)
I'm a university graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in English. I've been working from home for the past 3 years, since I graduated. I'm looking for work as an Au pair because I want a change in my life. I want to learn a new language, new culture, see new places. And although I'm a bit of an introvert, I would like to meet new people, and learn from them. I want to get out of my comfort zone and discover a life that's different from what I'm used to.
I can help with house chores like cleaning, washing dishes, and laundry. I'm not good at using machines such as vacuums or lawn mower because we don't have them, but I'm willing to learn how to use them.
I think I'm not a great cook because in our family it's almost always our mom who cooks our food, but I believe I can cook decent foods like breakfast. And I'm not the type of person to burn things in the kitchen. Lol
