APRIL, 34 YEARS

Dear Family,

I am April Christelle Albis looking for host family. I am 24 years old. I'm a friendly and a jolly person. I'm hardworking and trustworthy. I love reading books all kinds of books.
I would like to be an au pair because I want to learn and experience different culture. I am an adventurous person, which I think is a very fit personality to being an au pair. I will not be hesitant to try new things that will be helpful in improving myself.
I developed the interest in children when I started taking care of my nephews and nieces. They bring out the patience and caring side of me when I am with them. I enjoyed the hilarious and surprising things they do. Every weekend I usually take care of my nieces and nephews. I love playing and just talking with them. Whenever I am with them I also feel like a child because they are so fun to be with.

I am a nursing graduate. But I am currently working as babysitter for Korean and Japanese students, and a english teacher for both adults and children. I have been teaching and babbysitting for more than a year. Through this job I was able to meet different kinds of people, which has helped me become flexible and very patient at all times.
I become a sister and a friend to this foreigner children. Sometimes I also become like a mother to them since they are far from their family and they have to live independently here in the Philippines. I often have to give advice for them especially becoming confident in the things they want to do. I also have to be creative for them not to be bored with our class. At times, the students have mood swings especially if they feel so homesick. I have to be very patient and understand that they are having a difficult time also. I think these traits would be very helpful for me to be a good nanny to children.
