VANESSA, 33 YEARS

Dear Family,

I am Vanessa and I am looking for a Host family in Denmark or Norway. I finished my course of Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 2011. My training included 300 hours work at a Guest House named Jenny’s Inn where my work includes customer service, assisting with the food preparation and also housekeeping. In September 2013 to August 2015, for 2 years I had the chance to experience working as a Domestic helper and nanny at United Arab Emirates.

I worked with a family with 3 children ages 7, 4 and 2, all boys. The eldest was in elementary while the other two younger kids were in preschool. I woke up at 6 am prepare breakfast, dressing the kids and preparing their things, taking them to school and bringing them back home. Sometimes, I put them to sleep at night when the parents are busy. A month before i finished my contract the fourth child was born. Aside from taking care of the kids, I also do the household chores, washing the clothes, preparing meals and cleaning their rooms. Playing with the children is the best part of my job, because seeing them happy, lively and so playful is just enjoyable. We spent good times together, I and the kids were close.

I'm a happy person, for me patience is virtue. I’m understanding, patient and loving. My family would describe me as generous, peaceful and friendly. My friends like me because I'm thoughtful. My parents are industrious and hardworking, they are farmers. I have 4 siblings, they are all married except for the youngest who is still a student.

About my skills, I am a good cook. My cooking skills are quite good and I am comfortable being left alone and making things ready at the kitchen. I can cook pasta like Spaghetti and also chicken menus such as buttered chicken and chicken curry, and other s like meat balls, sauted or grilled or stew. I am also an excellent housekeeper. I clean thoroughly and expert in using a vacuum cleaner. I am a very good babysitter as I love taking care of small kids and enjoys being with them. I also have a valid Driver’s License, been driving for 6 years now and can easily convert it into International License.

I want to be an aupair because I also want to experience European culture aside from Arabian culture. I am thrilled to learn rich cultures, learn new things and explore new places.
