NAMULINDA, 21 YEARS

My name is Namulinda Patience, and I am from Uganda. Ever since I was a young girl, I've had a deep affection for caring for children, finding joy in their smiles and laughter. With a proficiency in English and a basic understanding of German, I'm eager to embrace the role of an au pair, especially in a country that presents the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture and language. For over 15 years, I have been actively involved in childcare, a journey that began in my early childhood. My experience ranges from informal care of relatives and community members’ children to a more structured role in 2023 when I had the privilege of caring for a German child visiting Uganda with his father. During this time, I was responsible for homework assistance, engaging in playful activities, discipline, meal preparation, and bedtime routines, ensuring a healthy balance of fun and structure. Attended first aid classes in 2012, equipping me with essential emergency response skills.Skills: Strong communication skills, a nurturing and patient approach to childcare, creativity in play and learning activities, and a natural ability to connect with children. I find great joy in playing with children, singing to them, and being a part of their learning and growing journey. My passion extends beyond care to seeing every child happy, a mission I carry into my everyday life. My hobbies also include reading, as I believe in the power of stories to expand the young mind, and engaging in various outdoor activities. Becoming an au pair is an exciting opportunity for me to combine my love for children with my desire to learn more about different cultures and languages. My experience in 2023 caring for a child from Germany ignited a curiosity in me to explore new places and meet new people, all while making a positive impact in the lives of children.
