EMMA, 24 YEARS

Hey! My name is Emma, I’m 19 years old from Norway. I’ve had french for several years in school, and now I really want to try to learn it properly. I am very eager to learn as much as I can about pretty much anything during my stay! I am always positive, and I try to make the best out of every situation. Instead of studying french in Norway, I decided to try bein an au pair, and I am really excited to see where it leads me! I am quite active, I enjoy hiking, jogging, volleyball, handball and badminton a lot. Sometimes I find it nice to sit down with a good book or with some music aswell. In 2018 I decided to travel for a while, and I visited countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Spain, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Singapore. Best desicion of my life! When I was in South Africa I also worked as a volunteer for 6 weeks. The tasks were to help out with disadvantaged children the age 4-15 in a township called «Dunoon» in Cape Town. It really changed my perspective on a lot of things. It also made me realise how much I enjoy spending time and working with children. In Norway I got a job as a preschool teacher, where I work for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Sure it can be challenging, but sometimes you just have to be patient and consistent and the rest will follow. Other than that, I would describe myself as impulsive, kind, patient, generous and outgoing.
