RUTH, 27 YEARS

I am Ruth Limbu, and I really love children. I have completed my high school, but due to financial problem in my family, I discontinued my higher studies, so currently I am working as an Au-pair in Switzerland, since last 7 months.

I am from Nepal, where my father is a farmer, my mother is house wife and my two younger sisters are studying high school. Although I had to give up my desire of studying Hotel Management in under-graduate level, I had to give up on my dreams.

My hobby is to cook and to care children. As the oldest daughter of my family, I got privilege to help my mom raise my two beautiful younger sisters. And as I am working as an Au-pair, I feel happy to help parents like you to raise your kids and to help you cook delicious food. Because this way I am getting advantages on achieving my hobby, as well as support my family in Nepal financially.

I worked as a kindergarten teacher in Nepal for one year. I experienced the joy and discovered the beauty of kids during my job. And since I am an Au-pair here in Switzerland, I am taking care of two cute children, a boy who is 8 and a girl who is 10. And I am so amazed to see how I can care the kids as well as learn so much about the culture and lifestyle of this country. This is really encouraging me to work as an Au-pair in upcoming year too. I want to work where my heart finds joy, as well as support financially to my hard-working family in Nepal.

I am helping the host family here with their household activities like cooking, laundry, washing dishes, etc. which has helped me become responsible. I feel like Au-pair is a way to live in a home away from own home.

I am really happy with my host family here, since they have treat me like one of their family members. They even paid for my airplane tickets while coming here, they pay my language class tuition fee and help me with a lot of things.

Now, I really want to explore and learn more from countries either Norway, Denmark, Belgium, etc. and support my family in Nepal from this work.


I am a blessed daughter, who was raised up by humble, innocent and hard working parents. I did not have a luxurious childhood, since I am not from a rich family. But I have learned the good and Godly character, behavior and attitudes from my beautiful parents.


My interests and hobbies are to cook, listen music, travel new places, eat delicious food and worshipping God. I am very helpful to people in need. I am very interested to visit new countries and learn their culture, language and study about their lifestyle.


I am planning to work as Au-pair for few time and then return to my home after saving money, enough for continuing my education in Hotel Management.

I really hope to be in your family to help you care your beautiful children and to be treated like one of your family members.
