MATURE AND TRUSTWORTHY AU PAIR GIRL FROM NAMIBIA

The main reason why I wish to become an au pair. Is so I can have international and professional experience in the caretaking of children. For I am considering the occupational option of studying to become a child phycologist in future.

My personal motivations and objectives to become an au pair.

I'll try to be as brief as possible :)

Because children are the most engaging and most intriguing audience you can work with. They have the same right to culture as adults, but their circumstances create challenges that can only be met with by being determine or creative and through integrity.

The joy I feel by working/ interacting with youngsters is that it is always different. Each youngster is unique in their own way.

I truly believe that before we even begin to work with children, we need to take a look at our own starting point and where we are coming from.

Living in a childhood without a sense of home, I found myself a place of sanctuary. Through caring for other youngsters and feeling compassionate towards their needs. In honest regard. When I ask my self the question. Why I want to work with children. I find my answer to be rooted in Love and compassion. With out a doubt, I really want to work with children because I genuinely care about their overall well-being.

Whether it is regarding self-awareness, self-development, identify safety, academic support or meeting basic needs. My passion for working with youngsters will and has always come from a place of love.

I hope my profile was of satisfactory and matched all the requirements your family whised in your au pair to become.
In addition to my child care experience.
I've been an au pair in Germany for an absolutely warm and loving family who really made me feel welcomed and a part of their family. They are a young dynamic and multi cultural couple. Parents to, two wonderful girls ages 3 and 5 years.Yes this is of course my first experience as a au pair girl abroad/ international. Which was far beyond great and a mind blowing experience for myself.

And now I'm currently an au pair for a family in my home country Namibia. Two girls again eldest 3 years and the youngest is 9 months old. The parents are very kind and absolutely wonderful too. The mom is Afrikaans and the Dad German.

PS:)
My next quest that I'll like to conquer. Would likely to be from early 2020.

Dear Family
Thank you for taking a look at my profile to see if I match your requirements.

My name is Abigail . I'm from Namibia a big country. Situated in the south west of africa (neigbouring country of South Africa). And I live in small coastline town called Swakopmund.
Beautiful little town, where both the sea and dunes meet each other :)

My religion is christian. But I'm open minded and greatly respectful to the believes, religions and cultures of others.

I am a civilised and cultured girl my self. One thing i can a sure you of is that I'm very mature person.

I was raised to be very self dependent in other words "I'm a highly independent young girl". Due to my mom being a disabled. I was taught from a very young age to do many things for myself. So I am quite good (flexible) at copping on my own with things like house work/care, looking after young ones and their needs, following a punctual routine of duties done in the caring of a house hold.

I am a very caring person towards others and their needs in general. I am energetic and enthusiastic to everything I do. And from a very young age, I love spending time with babies and toddlers at all times. Still do, I also interact with people very easily.

In short description of my personality. I'm easy going, young spirited and loving/cheerful person to have round.

My native language is Afrikaans. It's a language very similar to what the people in holland speak (Dutch).
I also speak English fluently.
And I studied German in high school for six years, I don't speak it fluently but can read it quite good and I know the basics of the language.

I expect nothing more than your support in my experience to be a part of your family. But I can assure you to expect of me to be the most caring and loving au pair. I will be the best older sister to your youngster/youngsters. And an amazing younger sister to you, the parents. You can expect of me to be on guard at all times. I will support your child/children with much love, care and affection as expected of any family member.

I would really like to help you with being that extra hand in the house that you as partners can count on to get things done if/when your not around.

I would be glad to teach your youngster/youngsters my native language.
I'll also help them with their homework, read books to them and take them out to parks and fun places to learn new skills of course I'll keep everything I do with them on an educational level.

I'm willing to work extra hours, of course for extra money. Like babysitting when ever you need it. I'll run errands for the family with no hesitation. Like going to the supermarket or drive the kids to appointments of which either parent can't at that moment. I'll also do my part like any other house hold member. Light house work vacuuming, dishes, dusting and light laundry.
Occasional cooking or even giving a helping hand with the cooking. I'll clean up after the kids and myself of course.

To all scammers trying to convince me that you are genuine family. We as au pairs get an email before hand of how to avoid contact with your profiles. So it's no use adding me as favorite or sending me a personal message. Because we get notified of all fraudulent profiles before hand.

To all Genuine families, yes we as au pairs also do get lured in by fraudulent profiles with pictures of real people (parents and their children) making the profile seem authentic. But isn't the case.
I think I speak for all au pairs when I say this. When a host family contacts an au pair whom they feel is a good match to them they will not hesitate to have a Skype chat with the potential au pair.

But these scammer profiles will come up with the most unthinkable excuses not to have a Skype chat because I personally feel a host family will try anything to get to know the person better whom they want be a part of their family.

This is really scary that these scammers have access to open profiles on the au pair sites. And it's not only on this site they have their little operations running on all different au pair websites. Which is really sad because these websites are actually very specific and professional.

But this scamming profiles are now really becoming of concern.

Also my apologies to genuine host families whom have been in a situation where au pair scammers lured them into an unpleasant trap.

I hope all au pair websites do something about this soon. Or take better precautions.
