SARA, 31 YEARS

Hi there :) this would be my first time as an official Au Pair, and I can't wait to get started and meet you all.
I come from a small family since it's basically my mom and me, but I'm quite near to other members of my family as well.
I'm 25 years old, and I'm a psychologist who gives child, individual and couple therapy. I love to read, travel, getting to know new cultures, perspectives and different ways of thinking. I also dance tango, I'm learning to ski on ice and I'm quite fond of long walks in the forest.
My interest in becoming an Au Pair is strongly attached to my belief that we should do everything in our hands to excel the way we take care and nurture children, families apart from our own, animals and nature itself, because the interest we put on all of them today will reflect in the kind of world we're gonna get tomorrow. I love the idea of taking this care to different parts of the world, to people who speak other languages and have different cultures. I think that enriches the sense of community and global support we sometimes lack nowadays.
During high school I did my social service taking care of little girls between 5 and 12 years old in an after-school stay house which lasted 4 hours a day. I helped them with their homework, basic self-care behaviors (washing their hands, brushing their teeth), helped them out with their cooking lessons and playing before their parents came to pick them up.
I've also baby-sitted my little cousins when needed, and currently I work a lot with kids and their parents as part of my job.
Although I'm a vegan, I don't have a problem cooking meat, poultry or seafood for other people. I actually enjoy very much to cook, it's one of my hobbies :) I consider myself very easy-going, responsible, funny and proactive.
I would really appreciate if you gave me the chance to be part of your family for a while, since I think I can be really helpful with what you might need. And I forgot to mention that I chose Norway because it's a country I cherish deeply. I know a little norwegian, but I would love to dive in its tradition, its way of life, and to improve the language since I'm working hard to study a mastership there.
