MERCY, 31 YEARS

Am a twenty five year old Kenyan interested in being a part of your family. Am currently a freelance writer working from home. I was born and raised by a single mum in a village in Kenya. I am the second of three daughters, my older sister has two sons and the younger one has a daughter. I am an introvert but very outgoing when it comes to children. I like to read and write. I like to take long walks, bake, cook, knit and listen to music. I spent three years in the University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Education English and Literature but was unable to complete due to lack of funds. I would like to get back to that one day. I have a blog that I would like to expand.

I have been involved in childcare since I was a teenager. I babysat a lot of my younger cousins. Upon completing high-school, I started to volunteer as a Sunday School teacher in my church, I have also volunteered at the local children's home. I have helped raise my niece and babysat my nephews for several hours. I helped take care of my first nephew when he was an infant so that my sister could go to work. I know a lot of children's games and have read bedtime stories and sang to the children I have taken care of.

I would like to become an au pair because am passionate about children. I believe that am in a position to provide good childcare. I also like the opportunity to be able to travel abroad yo places I have read about and meet new people. My expectations for travelling abroad are that I will be part of a new culture and also share my culture with my host family. I like the opportunity to explore my horizons. I will use my free time to explore the locality but my priority will be to the children I take care of. I can't wait to be part of your family.
