SOPHIE, 30 YEARS

an introduction about myself.
Sophie Mwanake is my name. Aged 26years. Am a Kenyan Citizen, but currently living in the Czech Republic, a sixth born in a family of seven. Five girls two boys. I have worked in a Kindergaten for two years as a volunteer teacher and a caretaker. Had an opportunity to look after kids from ages; 6months to 7years. I have also had a chance to take care of kids in my community from ages 3-17years. I act as their mentor and role model. This is due to the fact that my humble background hasn't stopped me from getting to my current situation and pursuing some of my dreams like supporting youths and children in their different projects and ministries. I have some of my nieces and nephews who have always looked up to me, believe and trust me in that they always approach me for advice and counseling. Having a certificate in counseling has also placed me at a better position in understanding children and peers. I have grown up in a family where values of respect, kindness, care, love, patience, hardwork, support were core. As a family we have grown up supporting each other and I believe if given opportunity to be your au pair I will put in practice all this virtues and cooperate. I love cooking, playing with the kids, nature walks. Helping the kids with their homework. I have had the opportunity to assess the Kenyan syllabus which I have put into use to help children in my community to improve in their studies and this has in deed bear fruits from seeing how most of the children have improved in their academics. I have a driving license and would be my pleasure taking, picking and dropping the kids from school. I promise to be not only an au pair but a big and great sister to the children
