METRINE, 26 YEARS

Dear host family, My name is Metrine 26 years and I come from Kenya. I come from a loving Christian family of 3 members, my parents and i.I am hardworking, dedicated responsible person, open-minded and self driven.I like taking care of people around me both the children and the aged. I am passionate about what I do. I believe being an aupair it will help my being independent and responsible person. I am well prepared and also aware of the fact that being like a big sister and taking good care of my host family gives me more responsibilities. Lending a hand counts even in my own little way I am very organized person, caring, patient mostly when it comes to the children, I am passionate and confident working with them and I perform my work with dedication commitment and ambition. The family can also rely on me, I am faithful and helpful. I am empathetic cheerful and I like to respect the rules of each home. Truly I believe that everything happens for a reason even those things that we don't understand at the time. My experience as an aupair has been very special for me. Honestly, I think it has changed my life completely to the way I see everything and to the way I handle them is different now. In 2020 I joined a volunteering team in my village at C.C.O (Community Care Organization) where we have been helping orphans and the disabled families in my community, by donating food and other needs like clothes. I also was a volunteer in my church where I was a Sunday school teacher, it was not only teaching but bringing the joy and happiness to the children faces by engaging them in defferents outdoors activities which led in creating special memories with them. In 2022 I made a decision to quit my volunteering team. I wanted to see more of the world and get to know different point of views. I am currently placed in a lebanese family who are very kind to me, where by I have been taking care of an aged granny and also sometimes babysitting when the family visits with their children of 1 year and 4 years,I am also able to take care of children under the age of 10, I get to spend time and have fun with the children atleast 3 times a week , taking them in the pack and walks. It has been a great journey for me because I also got the chance to learn their language and cultural ways of living. I have learned a lot as an aupair and it has helped me gain more knowledge also in eged care section and the experience of different sorts that will be useful in any professional setting. Not only how to deal with new structures and responsibilities in the new environment but develop my personal capabilities. I would love to aupair abroad in order to become an extended part of my new family sharing their culture and combining childcare with a year of adventure, study and travel. I am passionate about my work. Because I love what i do, I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. In my last job, this passion lead me to challenge myself daily and learn new skills that help me to do better work. I am a good listener and easy to talk to, I am easy going, flexible and adaptable.My interest is to build a warm and a strong relationship with families I get to stay with. I like reading and telling stories one of my best hobbies. Mediating is my favorite hobby. Engaging myself in outdoors activities is among one of my best things to do ie:going for walks, biking, hiking and picnicking. I like spending my time with my pet dog called Daisy one of my favorites . I like learning new skills and recently I have been interested in exploring languages as they help me to explore new cultures, I like traveling and I love discovering new cities and places around the world, I love friends trip and family outings, solo traveling brings me the real adventure. After my aupair year. I would love to become an inspiration and motivate young people in my country.
