IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT JAPANESE AND HONGKONGESE CULTURE, CHOOSE ME YOU WON'T REGRET!
I am a year 2 student, studying in The University of Hong Kong and majoring in Linguisitcs. I am a half Japanese and half Chinese grew up in Hong Kong. My hobbies are hiking and talking. I was the committee member in the hiking club in my uni so I organized different outdoor activities e.g. camping, hiking. I have a younger sister who is also in the same uni and same faculty, which makes me so happy cuz we can go to uni together. I have been a private tutor since I was in junior secondary school so I taught more than 10 children before(All are one to one tutorial). I teach English, Chinese, Maths, Japanese etc to young children. I admit that they are naughty and noisy sometimes, but I love them.
I am currently taking a gap year to explore more about the world. Recently I am reading a book about the secrets of the happiest people in the world ( Name: The little book of Lykke). I was so inspired that I wish I could take a glimpse into what it is like to be living in the happiest countries in the world e.g. Denmark, Switerzland, Norway etc. I grew up in an Asian society where academic performance means everything and the ultimate purpose to get into university is simply to secure a place in the workforce. I managed to get into one of the top uni in Hong Kong but I do not feel happy at all as I do not think I am doing the right thing. We only live once and I definitely do not want to be a slave to job in the future. I hope to reveal the life in another part of world where are said to be a heaven for children. What is the purpose of life and in what way should I lead my life? Thats what I am going to figure out through AuPair World programme.
