CREATIVE, DANCING, IMAGINATIVE UA PAIR
First of all, I’d like to tell a little bit about myself (as you would probably like to know something about the person who might be living with you). My name is Eliza and I'm 19 years old. The other day I heard my mom say she raised two real hippies. She probably said this because that day my brother was protesting for the climate and I would have been there, had I not been at a protest for the refugees in Moria. Also, there was a period where I always walked barefoot, but by now I've realised that shoes exist for a reason. My hobbies are: unicycling, dancing, writing, painting, thrifting and just imagining entire worlds for myself to live in. I’m interested in: different cultures (really different), magic, animals and of course children. I wanted to go to college for pedagogical sciences in 2021 but I decided I want to be an au pair first. My dream is to work in a juvenile prison, where I want to help the children using animals and the love the can give them. I'm also a vegetarian.
Next, I should probably tell you something about how I am as a babysitter, I have a lot of experience. I think it's important that children (when the weather and their health allow it) go outside at least once a day. If there is one thing I pay special attention to, it's that children can use and develop their imagination. Of course, not every child finds imagination equally important (because everyone is different) so I would love to work for a family that finds imagination and creativity important, but it is definitely my opinion that every child (and adult but especially children) need at least a good amount of imagination and creative outlet. Things I do to stimulate this are writing stories with the children, writing letters to family and friends (that one's great because it encourages children to look at their loved ones and really see what makes them amazing) and of course a lot of arts and crafts and playing. Then of course children need to move, run and lose all of that energy. I personally prefer to do that through dance, but if the child wants to play soccer, I'm absolutely perfect for that because I'm really bad at it but just good enough to make it look like I'm a worthy opponent, even though I do not have to try to lose most of the time. I always pay attention to children eating fruit and drinking enough water. I might take their temperature a little to often but that way I do always know right away when they’re sick.
I have 7 years of experience, with 1 to 6 kids and children and adults with down syndrome, autism, hormonal disorders and selective mutism.
I would love to hear from you!
Love, Eliza
