LOTTA, 21 YEARS

Hello dear families!

My name is Lotta and I´m turning 18 years old on May 19. I live with my parents and my 2 younger brothers (11,14) in a house near Hamburg (Ahrensburg), Germany. I am going to the 12th grade of a grammar school and I am about to graduate. Afterwards I plan to go abroad as an au pair for 6-10 months. I would like to improve my language skills during this time. 🇩🇰😍

Besides school, I have been babysitting in various families for more than 6 years now and at the same time I work as a coach for a football team of the year 2011.⚽️ In my free time I like to play football myself, meet friends and I am very interested in photography and film. I also love music, playing the ukulele, singing and dancing. In my holidays I also like to go horseback riding or otherwise occupy myself with animals.

I live with my two younger brothers and my parents in Ahrensburg, about 15 minutes from Hamburg. My brothers both go to the same grammar school as I do. My mother works as a medical assistant in a practice and my father is a project manager in the IT sector.

I started primary school in 2008 and changed to grammar school in 2012. After 12 years of school I will finish my school career in summer 2020 with the Abitur. 🎓 Besides school, I have already gained several career insights, e.g. in a hotel kitchen or in the sound and moderation department of a radio station. In addition, I did a 2-week internship each in a pediatrician practice and in an advertising agency. :)

Besides my mother tongue German, I have been speaking English for 10 years and am now fluent, with a few vocabulary gaps. Besides English I learned French and Spanish at school, but I only have the basic knowledge there.
At the moment I'm in the process of teaching myself Danish, because I'm very interested in it.

I am a very open and direct person. I love to help others and to stand up for people.
I have experience in taking care of babies and toddlers as well as older children, and I also have experience in basic household tasks. I got my driver's license at the age of 16 1/2 and since then I drive our car regularly. 🚗🚗
I like working with children. I am always up for a good joke. I love to organize and plan things, but I am also always available for spontaneous activities.

From the stay as an au pair I hope to get to know new cultures and above all to improve my language skills. After my stay as an aupair I plan to travel further through Scandinavia and the world to gain further life experiences. I love to travel and I am looking forward to the adventure, maybe with you!🤗😇
