THERESA, 30 YEARS

Dear Family,

I am a 23 years old girl from Germany, currently studying in distance-learning (which enables me to be flexible). At the moment, I am looking for a family in Singapore or South Korea. I've developed an interest in Asian culture and languages from a very early age on and was highly influenced by my open-minded parents which travelled a lot with my siblings and also lived with us for some month in Malaysia and a year in Australia where I have relatives.

I used to live in Singapore for a bit when I was a child and have some beautiful memories of it. I wish to experience the city once more, improve my Malay and simply dive into the culture. Also, since South Asian and Southeast Asian Studies are part of my studies, a stay in these countries will offer me an additional and first-hand insight into their cultures and ways of living.

I believe working as an Au-Pair is a wonderful possibility to combine doing something I really love and getting to know everyday life and the culture in a country and from the perspective of a local rather than a tourist.

Besides caring for your children, I can also imagine working as a pet sitter, in elderly care or a German / English / Spanish & Hindi tutor and have experience in all mentioned jobs.
I am a highly reliable, trustworthy, open-minded and considerate person. Besides, I am a very creative person with lots of passions and hobbies which I would love to share with your children.

I've not only gained experience by caring and looking after my own younger siblings (like a mother) but also from different kind of work experience, voluntary service and jobs in Germany as well as abroad with all age classes.

I have experience in all mentioned kind of work and would love to gain new experience in your family, but also leave something behind.

For me, it is important to spend valuable time with children - doing outdoor activities or creative things - where they can learn something in a playful way. In top of that, I am very patient and never get upset and I am quite stress-resistant.
