MARY, 26 YEARS

I am Mary Maythalou O. Casil, people often call me "Met". I go by that name because it's easier to pronounce than my real name. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health. I've work as a high school teacher in a regular classroom set up and worked as an English Instructor to foreign students. I grew up in a family where love and respect is an important aspect in everyday life. I am the eldest in the family that is why I am well-trained about doing household chores, and that I have a habit of making things tidy and well-organized. With my experience of teaching kids, teenagers and adults from different countries I was able to learn to adapt to different personalities. I am very interested in other countries culture and traditions. That is why I'm loving teaching English to foreign students. My childcare experiences are when watching over my younger sisters when our parents are out. I also have a little experience handling students with special needs, when I was still teaching in a private school. It was very difficult since I have to manage the whole class learnings and also attend their special needs. But at the end of each difficult days, it gives me satisfaction and happiness for surviving the day and seeing my students learned something from me. This quality of mine will allow to help about your children's education. Now I come across to this program, and wanted to be part since this would greatly develop me in different areas - adaptation skills to new environment, communication skills, child management and independence as to live far away from my homeland. I may not have enough experience but I am really willing. I hope to be part of your family and hope that you'll welcome me wholeheartedly as I assure you that I'll be in my best foot forward in everything I do.
