To My Future Host Family,

Hello! My name is Jean, 29 years old, single, no kids but have lots of nieces and nephews:)
I am writing this letter to let you know that I am excited to meet your beautiful family. It is my life long dream to explore the world, get to know a lot of people, and I'm happy that you will be a part of that dream. I am a simple lady from the Philippines looking for new experiences, trying to find a new taste of culture. I seek to understand the uniqueness of individuals and get involved in the process. Being able to meet you would be something that would help me develop this interest. Also, this experience excites me in a way that I will also be a part of your family. I would also like to share some of my interest with you. These are travelling, photography, gardening and cooking. I think that these interests would make a bridge for us to be connected and share a bond. I have a experience in child care since we are a big family, so I got to undergo taking care of a newborn baby until they become adolescents. I also love doing the household chores, I like to clean the house thoroughly, organize and arrange objects until certain conditions are met or the end result feels "just right."

I am pleased to know that I am going to be treated as a family member too. Knowing this, I would also like to show my culture with you, culture that's embedded to me by the folks I am around with. As I would learn beautiful things from you, I also hope to share wonderful things too, so we can create a harmonic atmosphere together.

After spending time with you and learning new things, I would like to go back to my home country to share my experiences about your country and your family. This would be treated as a life changing journey for me. I know that once I meet you, life would never be the same again. This is a great opportunity to show and express our culture.
