LEMUEL, 25 YEARS

My name is Lemuel, but you can call me Lem. I am currently 25 years old and residing in the Philippines. I have been working as a home-based ESL teacher for over six years now, teaching students ranging from two to thirty years old. I have two younger siblings whom I used to take care of when we were kids. They are both adults now, aged 23 and 20. I have always loved being with children, even when I was young. I used to play with them using dolls, toy cars, blocks, and other toys. Nowadays, I spend time with my goddaughters when I visit them, teaching them academic and helpful things. Perhaps that is why I have been working with kids for almost seven years now. Most of my students come from different parts of the world. Aside from teaching, I can also cook, dance, and sing, although my voice is not as good as others. I can also do grocery shopping since I live alone in an apartment. I started working at the age of 18 and started living independently at 16 when I went to college. Recently, I watched a video on YouTube about being an au pair, and it greatly excites me. I said to myself, "I want to be an au pair." First, I am a jolly person, especially around children. Second, I want to experience new cultures and be with people from different backgrounds. Lastly, I want to create lifelong memories with families, love them as if they were my own family, learn new languages and cultures, help take care of children, while earning a decent income doing what I love, making friends from all around the world, and visiting new places.
