AMABELLE , 28 YEARS

With childcare and household experiences in Singapore 🙂 Dear Host Family, My name is Amabelle Sarena Cabiluna Gorne, my family and close friends call me “Mabel” or “Belle”. I am 27, years of age from Sta.Fe, Matalom, Leyte, one of the provinces in the Central part of the Philippines. I am a trustworthy, hardworking, caring, loving, and friendly person. I am also creative and is passionate with everything I do, God fearing and believe that everything that we go through in life has a purpose. I grew up with in a compound, with my nanay, who is my aunt and my cousins. I have 3 siblings, and I also have a dog who loves to cuddle and play with me. Despite growing up away from our parents since they are separated, I have felt the love, care and support from my nanay (my father’s sister), my other aunts, uncles and cousins. I have lived in a home where I learned to respect differences and to always believe that every life experience is a pathway to becoming a better person. I enjoy reading books of any genre, and loves writing poetries and stories. I love painting and drawing sceneries. I also enjoy grocery shopping, cooking and baking. I love travelling and spend most of my free time hiking, swimming or camping out with my dog and friends. I can speak English and Filipino as the national language of the Philippines, but is willing to learn any language that can be of help to widen my vocabulary. After graduating highschool, I once worked in a BBQ place and small eatery as a waitress during night time who is in-charge of taking and serving orders to the customers and during the day, in a clothing store as a saleslady who accommodate buyers/customers, as well as help them choose the right clothes that fits their style and fashion sense. I also tried working as a housemaid who is in charge of cleaning the house during weekends. I also tried working as a nanny of a 1 year old and 4 year old kid before pursuing college and is in-charge of preparing their meals, helping them in bathing and preparing their clothes as well as taking care of them especially when their parents are busy. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Food Technology and Entrepreneurship. I am now working as a daycare center assistant and also a part time tutor for elementary students. It may sound that I do not have enough working experience with household and care giving but I assure you that I can do these tasks as well as any other Au pair. I was already exposed to doing household chores as early as 8 years old, especially when my parents decided to go separate ways. I used to take care of my siblings, and have also taken care of my sick grandmother. During weekends, I take care of my nephews and nieces, mostly of 1-4 years of age, as well as 8 months to 1 year old. I am also active in my community, and is a member of the Youth for Christ since Highschool and is now a Singles for Christ, and I also help with whatever I can be of help to the church, barangay and the local community with their programs and activities. All through the years, from a battle of experiences, I can say I have become matured and disciplined in dealing with big responsibilities and I am very willing to still learn new things. Rest assured that I can hone my skills and adapt to a new environment to best perform the tasks assigned to me. I am nanny and over all house helper in Singapore and my contract will end next week , my main task here is waking up at 4:00 am in the morning start to fix everything for the breakfast and things of the kids, i am a nanny of 3 years old girl, 5 and 12 years old boys when everything is ready its time to wake up the kids and assist them in getting ready going to school im the one who will send them to school and pick up after school, after sending them its time for me to clean and organize things, dusting and washing floor clean the toilets then change the bedsheets twice a month, i do the laundry twice a week and ironing, sometimes i am making dinner a healthy dinner for them then clean the kitchen before sleeping my task will last until 11pm in the evening and that is my daily routine there and my experiences. It has been my lifelong dream to go out of my comfort zone and work overseas and if given a chance to be part of your family, I will be extremely grateful.
