DESIREE, 27 YEARS

Dear Host Family, My name is Desiree Joyce, and I am 26 years old from the Philippines. I have completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Although I was able to graduate from college, I felt the need to help my family financially, in addition to my dream of exploring different parts of the world. I have decided to pursue the au pair program because I have always been passionate about working with children. I love how joyful they are, even with the little things. I have been responsible for taking care of my 10-year-old little sister and my 12-year-old nephew since we live in our grandmother's house. When I was in college, I used to send them to school before going to my own classes. I help them with their homework and make sure they review their notes for exams. We also have an adorable one-year-old baby in the family. I think she has developed a fondness for me, as she always wants me to cradle her to sleep. In terms of household chores, I am positive that I can help you with light tasks such as ironing, tidying up, and especially cooking. I love cooking good meals for my family, and they are always delighted. I hope you will love it too!
