DIANA, 25 YEARS

My name is Diana, from the Philippines, 22, a Bachelor's Degree holder and currently looking for a host family. I am responsible, motivated, determined, open-minded, understanding, honest/ trust worthy, sweet, patient, adaptable, flexible, enjoyable and detail-oriented individual offering a deep passion for kids and strong attention to safety.

My eagerness for a new journey and the longing to experience how to live independently has pushed me to aspire to become an au pair. I am a native Filipino speaker and speak English which is my secondary language. I want to learn different cultures, languages as well as to experience being a big sister to a family in a different side of the world.

As I face the reality of life, I crave to explore the challenges and opportunity to be an au pair which will be a great opportunity to impart my learnings, culture, language, skills and ability to others and vice versa. I believe that this would be a great opportunity for me to help and be part of your family and further grow both personally and professionally. I know this program will help me discover more about myself and purpose of living.


CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE:
-I took care of my two younger cousins (sent and picked them at their schools)
-I take care my 2 younger siblings (ages 11 and 14 years old)
-Prepare and serve meals on a daily basis.
-Assist them in taking a shower and prepare their clothes to wear.
-Guide them with their homework and help them understand their lessons.
-Teach them some singing techniques and sing with them.
-Secure that the room and environment is safety and clean.
-Teach them how to make creative writing.
-Play and have fun with them and listen to their interests.
-Communicate with parents to ensure that their needs are met.
-Do household chores such as sweeping the floor, mopping, cooking, washing clothes (folding and ironing them), washing the dishes etc.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
-Worked as a Customer Service Representative in an international logistics company for almost a year.
-Sell foods at my parents' small eatery and deal with customers.
-Sold food bouquets on Valentine's Day 2020.
-Joined singing contest (solo, duet, and with my band).

All of these experiences have helped me to develop multiple important abilities required to successfully execute the job that should be possessed by an au pair. I've learned how to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations and was able to improve my time management skills and acquired the ability to lead and coordinate a group of individuals. I would love to be an Au Pair to help and provide high-quality of physical and emotional care and assistance to the host family. I would love to learn new culture and language and be able to share mine in return.
