ARLENE, 32 YEARS

Hello there! How are you? I hope this message finds you well. For starters, here are some of the things about me that you might find interesting and helpful in considering me as your Au Pair:

• I am from the Philippines and my name is Arlene. (I hope my current location won't stop you from reading the rest below.)

• I am 29 years old and single with no kids.

• I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and I was a full-time teacher in an international school in Thailand for 2 years so I know that looking after the welfare of your children is a priority. (Preschool, Primary and Secondary level)

• I am the eldest daughter/grand-daughter in our family, so I really try my best to set a good example for my younger sisters and cousins. (mature and independent)

• I grew up looking after my younger siblings (3 sisters) and cousins(girls and one boy) when our parents were working on the farm so you can definitely rely on me in taking care of your kids- playing with them, story-telling, tutoring, accompanying them in school or other activities. (patient and reliable)

• We have 5 cats (Ning, Roro, Bal, Mik, and Pom) and 2 dogs (Ginger and Nog). I am responsible for feeding them and making sure they won't run away from home.

• I can cook and follow recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even for snacks in between.

• I bake as a hobby (cookies, muffins, cake, bread, meat, pasta).

• I enjoy reading and Netflix. I am a fan of online games. I also do yoga and exercise-running.

• I know how to do household chores- tidy up, wash dishes, vacuum, mop, disinfect if needed, do laundry by schedule, fold clothes after drying them, steam/iron in advance. I can also multi-task. (diligent, independent)

• I easily get along with people- younger, older, or with the same age as mine (people-person, understanding, sensitive, caring, flexible).

• I don't have a driver's license but I can ride a bike- a bit. (fast-learner, adaptable)

• I currently own a local clothing retail store since the pandemic. (La Bella Roza)

• I have a valid passport until 2022.

• I am a really patient person and I am open to communicating my thoughts and listens well. I may need to ask for instructions from you on how to operate something for the 1st time so please bear with me.

• I know you have house rules and I respect them so please let me know if there are things that I can improve or do better.

• I also don't mind constructive criticisms because I know they are for my own good.

I am aware that it is easier to hire Au Pairs who are already in Europe or other countries other than the Philippines but I hope you give me this chance of a lifetime to see and experience Europe through your family.
