KRYSTAL, 29 YEARS

10 things about ME:

1. I have a degree in secondary education with a major in English so I can speak fluent English.

The first 2 years was in a Montessori school where I taught children from different nationalities. I experienced handling grade school and high school students coming from diverse cultures and I really appreciate the experience. If I have my own children in the future, I would want them to go to a Montessori school. But for now, I can help your children the Montessori way of doing things which I learned from my methodology trainings. :)

The next 3 years was in a public school where I taught mostly indigenous people of an island in the Philippines. It was a humbling and meaningful experience for me. I can also teach your children about the Mangyan culture!


2. I love kids! I used to look after my younger brothers, cousins, nieces, and nephews! I also have a number of godchildren already.

3. I am a spontaneous person with a heart for adventure! I really like learning about different cultures so I always try to travel a lot and immerse myself into new experiences.

4. I like things clean and organized. I love it when things are pleasing to the eyes. I believe it lessens my stress and makes me even more productive.

5. I am fun to talk to. I am also a very good conversation starter. At least that's what my friends say about me. I'm an extrovert so if you want a little ray of sunshine and a meaningful conversation, you can always count on me.

6. I am always willing to learn something new and you can always learn something new from me too!

7. I can confidently sing and dance but I'm not sure if you would love to witness it. My friends and family surely don't want to witness it. It's not my skill but it makes people happy because it makes them feel good about their own singing and dancing skills. Haha!

8. I have experienced babysitting my brothers, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Recently I have spent more time with my nephew who is also my godchild. I teach him how to recognize colors, shapes, animal names and sounds. I also teach him some nursery songs. I even have a song written especially for him! I used to sing it to him when he was a baby to stop him from crying. Haha!

9. My motivation in becoming an Au Pair is to experience more of the Dutch life and learn more about the culture here. I really love cheese, potatoes, frikandel and stroopwafel!

10. I love looking at the windmills and walking beside the canals while looking at the magnificent architectures! Everything is just an eye candy for me!
I've always felt like living in The Netherlands is like living in a 3D pop up doll house which I used to play with as a child. That's what I remembererd upon setting my foot here!
