APPLE JOYCE, 29 YEARS

Dear Host Family, My name is Apple. I am 26 years old. I'm currently living here in the Philippines. I live in a small village called Masipi East, province of Isabela. I live with my family and 10 dogs. I came from a family of 6: My Parents, Reynante (47) is working on our small farm and Analyn (46) working in Kuwait as a Domestic Helper. I have 3 younger siblings; Sunshine (24) a Teacher, Vincent (20) and Justine (11) both are still studying. My grandfather (65) is also living with us. I would describe myself as a very friendly, cheerful, trustworthy, reliable and open-minded person. I love to laugh and enjoy making other people laugh. I have my own small business. I sell clothes online. At the moment, I would like to have a different life experience. I think spending a year abroad would be particularly interesting. My first language is Filipino and I'm also fluent in English. I started learning English in primary school, and it was also the language of instruction in the Secondary and University I attended. When it comes to child care experience, I have looked after children in both formal and informal contexts. Last 2018 as part of my work as a cleaner in the United Arab Emirates, I spent a year working for a family of 4. They have 2 beautiful children; Reetal (8) and Talya (5). I look after them 6 hours a day since their parents are both at work. I clean their house, prepare their food, help them with their homework. I always make sure I get to play with them before my time for the day ends. We'd play dolls, hide and seek, and watch their favourite English TV shows. I have helped my parents look after my sister and brothers since their early childhood age. I was nevertheless much more involved in caring for them daily. In addition, I also spend a lot of time looking after our neighbours 2 children Janella and Jairus ( aged 5-3 ), so from time to time, I find myself in their ever animated company. I sincerely enjoy spending time with children. I also love taking care of pets. I have 10 dogs at home. So, if you have pets, rest assured that they will always be in good hands. When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in simple things in life. Enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, reading books and watching movies. There are several reasons why I want to be an Au Pair but the most important is I like children. I love to spend time with children and it was always my dream to live and work in a foreign country. I want to experience how it is to live in Europe, learn their culture and way of living, and be welcomed by a family who will treat me as a family or as a friend. As far as preferences are concerned, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family, that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for at least 6 months to years. Lastly, although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to attend daytime language classes since I'm planning to learn different languages. I believe I can be of good service since I enjoy taking care of kids, cooking, and doing household chores.
