APRIL, 28 YEARS

Dear future host family,

I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to
you.
My name is April Shine Barillo. I am 24 years old and from Philippines. With my parents and my siblings. I
am living in a house that is located in an area full of nature in short We live in a farm. My father works is
carpentry, my mother works as a teacher. I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who
tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as
my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, I’m always there for them if they need me.
In my free time, I like to listen to music, playing instruments like guitar. Singing is one of my favorite
hobbies and I am also trained youth at our church to practice them to sing. I enjoy reading a good book
and dancing even though I am not good in dancing. I also teach young children in our church about God
Stories. I’m the kind of person who love to learn and experience new things. I will never get tired of
learning, because learning is a long term process and experience is the best teacher. I am also looking
forward to learn and experience new culture with you as my host family.
At the moment, I am a staff in our Local Government Unit in Gensan. I graduated Bachelor
of Secondary Education but sad to say I am not able to pass the Licensure Examination last December
2019 so that I decided to apply as an Au Pair. The reason why I want to become a Au Pair is
that I want to get to know the way of other people life as well as different cultures. Most importantly, it
would be a great chance to spend an entire year taking care of children. And of course, it would be great
to improve my English skills as well.
Actually I already have an Host Family in Denmark but sad to say after 3 Months they send me a message and they decided not to
continue getting an Au pair because they can see that there children already know how to handle themselves and it felt so sad at that time but they promised to recommend me to their friends. But I still want to find my future Host Family so that I am trying again to apply. I am Passport ready and I already have my requirements except visa.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very
happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you. Hoping that you will give a chance and consider me as your future Au Pair.
