CAREN, 30 YEARS

Dear Family,

I am Caren. I have a simple and caring family consisting of seven members. I live in the countryside of Iloilo, Philippines. I finished Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science. I can describe myself as kind, sweet, loving, funny and easy to be with. In my leisure time, I am reading books like novels and science-fiction, listening to music like pop and ballad and playing sports like basketball and softball. I know how to drive automatic cars and I have a professional driver’s license. I can also swim and ride a bike. I can cook Filipino dishes like tinola, adobo and caldereta and American dishes like baked salmon, chili ground turkey with beans and baked lemon and pepper chicken. I can also make pasta like aglio olio and chicken alfredo.

I worked as an aupair in McLean, Virginia, United States of America from January 17, 2018 until February 15, 2020. My host father is a government engineer and my host mother is a senior business intelligence developer. They have three children-Braygen is 7 years old and twins-Bennett and Keeva are both 3 years old. My work is 8 hours per day (8am to 5pm) and 40 hours per week. I have day-off every Saturday and Sunday. My salary is $800 per month. My duties there as an aupair are cleaning, vacuuming, cooking, washing clothes, ironing clothes and wash dishes using dishwasher, take care of the three kids, read them books, teach them on how to count numbers and pronounce the alphabet, teach them about the different shapes, sing and dance with them and do painting.

I want to be an aupair in Europe because I want to meet new people, experience new environment, know European way of life and study their language and culture as well and most especially, help my future host family.
