LEIGH-AN, 28 YEARS

Dear family,

Greetings!

I am Leigh, 25 years old. I am currently living here in the Philippines. I would describe myself as a buoyant, honest, kind and joyful person. I'm also a caring person who tries to see the good things in every situation. The host family can expect me to be able to carry out my work or task effectively and efficiently, and will take care of the kids and the house as if it is mine. I'm expecting to have a good relationship with your family, and your family will see me as a part of the family.

My family consist of 6, my father, mother, my sister, my brother, me and my youngest brother. My father is a truck driver while my mother died on 2012 due to hypertension. My sister is a businesswoman and she has loving 4 children, that i take care since they were born. They are still baby when I started taking care of them, I learned how to changed diaper and made baby food. I also teach them some basic knowledge, help them with their homework and projects.

I'm a gradutae of Bachelor in Elementary Education. I worked as a teacher in our town for one year and travelled to Manila and worked as a Call Center agent i've been working for 3 years p a call center again and a Subject Matter Expert in our company and also given certificates for having good works, commendations and accomplishments.

Whenever I have free time, I do something that is productive. I sometimes learn new dance steps, read books and watch movies. But here now, I was into arts. When the museums are open (due to corona there are times that it is closed) -I spent my weekends going to different museums. If the museums are close, I paint and/or draw.

Here in the Philippines, I am taking care 4 children, these are my niece and nephews ages 1,3, 8 and 10. Taking care of the children includes picking them up from school, arranging playdates, playing exciting indoor and outdoor activities. I also do light household chores, like cleaning up the kitchen, emptying the dishwasher and cooking.

My first language is Filipino then I learned English at school and I can say that I speak it fluently.

I love kids and love to travel. So being an Au Pair is the best way that I can do both. I also like to experience a different culture and meet new people. I believed being an Au Pair could give me more self-confidence.
