DIVINE, 31 YEARS

Dear family,

Being able to live and serve a family would be a great privilege for me. Learning from your family and as well as teaching what I know especially to your children is my greatest goal. It was always a dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country. As a matter of fact, my major when I was in college is Bachelor of Arts in English. I do believe that my knowledge in English language can be of great help for me to be able to travel the world.

My name is Divine. I am 24 years old and a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines. This letter of mine will be of great help for you to know who I am. I have three siblings and both of my parents are retired. My mother motivated me to join a youth choir in our Catholic church when I was 13 years old. She believes that I can improve my talent once I join. As a part of a choir, we are expected to lead people to sing however there was more than that. I learned how to serve other people and God; and I was happy with that. As time goes by, I became the Youth Leader of my place. I had a great and big responsibility since I will be handling hundreds of young people. Being a Youth Coordinator means sacrificing a lot. My job is to teach young people (children, teen agers, young adults) about the word of God and how to be a good part of the community.

Right now, I’m working as Tutor here in Hong Kong. Responsible for their daily routine and being their playmates. . I could say that I am well aware of how important to understand their behaviors and the differences of their culture among others. Since I experienced to teach kids for a couple of years, I can say that I've also learned to adjust to different personalities.

You can expect that as a part of the family, I will do my duties and responsibilities. I am comfortable in taking care of children and doing the house chores. I will be happy to speak with you and answer any questions that you may want to ask. It would also be nice to know more about you and your family and what you expect from an au pair arrangement.
