MEDYN, 35 YEARS

Dear Host Family,

First and foremost, I would like to introduce myself, I'm Medyn A. I am single and with no kids. I am from Tarlac, Philippines known for its fine foods, vast sugar and rice plantations. I have a simple family, my father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife. I am the eldest and I have 1 brother and 1 sister. I have a college degree, I studied Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Tarlac College of Agriculture. I am mature, open-minded, patient, flexible and with positive outlook in life. My hobbies are doing cross-stitch, playing basketball, cleaning my own room and organizing stuff in the house and playing with my host kids. I know how to swim and how to ride a bicycle. I am healthy and fit to work. I know how to understand and speak English fluently, I am willing to learn your language so I can communicate well to your family members. I love cooking Filipino dishes like Adobo, Sinigang etc. and I would love to learn how to cook dishes you are eating in your home. I love dogs and I can look after your pets. I can start as per the date you require. I can work with your family for 2 years.

On January 12, 2012, I started working as an all-around maid and babysitter of a Filipino family with two kids (Analie-6 years old girl and Eldhine-4 years old boy). Both of my employers are working full time so I am in-charge of doing the housework and childcare.

My housework duties are as follows:
1) Grocery shopping in the supermarket of the needed supplies in the house.
2) Cooking meals and set the table and prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner and clean the table afterwards.
3) Washing the dishes (Plates, spoon, fork and glass).
4) Wash the dirty clothes, put it in the dryer, hang it, ironing of clothes and folding it and put in designated cabinet.
5) Cleaning the house (Bedroom, Sala, Kitchen, Toilet and outside the house).
6) Watering the plants and flowers in the garden.
7) Put the garbage in trash can.

My childcare duties are as follows:
1) Feeding the children, give them milk and vitamins.
2) Assist them when they are brushing their teeth, take them a bath and put their clothes on.
3) Send the eldest child to daycare center and fetch her after her classes.
4) Teach them how to read ABC’s and count numbers. Help the eldest child with her assignments.
5) Coloring books and storytelling.
6) Play with my host kids and their toys and with their friends.
7) Babysitting.

I want to become an aupair because I want to grab this opportunity to learn new language and culture. I want to share Filipino food, language and culture to your family as well. I want to help a host family with the best of my ability.

I will keep your kid’s safety and wellness and maintain the cleanliness of your house and I can be a big sister to your kid/s and a friend to you.

I am willing to have Skype with you and I can provide recommendation letter from my current employer.
